Hey, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Gift Ekiuwa, a daughter of God first, and then an author, mentor, and host of Wisdom Wednesday. Think of me as your friend who won’t let you stay stuck.
My Story
I was born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria, in a home where Christ was at the center. My mum didn’t just take us to church; she walked us into every part of life with Jesus.
There was a season where church was literally every day, services, fasting, activities, family prayers. At the time it felt normal. Now I see how much it built me and my siblings. Those early mornings, sermons, worship nights, and our weekly family prayers shaped the way we think, pray, and handle life today.
I’m the oldest of four, two sisters, one brother, and watching them grow in faith is still one of my greatest joys. My mum became even more involved in church as we grew older, and she made sure we were building our spirits daily. She’d give us sermons to listen to, worship to sit with, and questions to think through.
I was a quiet kid. I didn’t want drama, hurt, or too much talk. I’ve always believed, instead of being everywhere, why not be yourself, learn well, and make good use of every moment? I’d rather not be the loudest in the room if it means I’m actually growing.
I studied International Studies and Diplomacy at Benson Idahosa University, and I’m a licensed cabin crew member with other professional certifications. But none of that compares to the work God called me to.
The Calling
I care so much about strong Christian homes and about women. I’ve seen how kids thrive when they’re covered in prayer, and I’ve seen what happens when they’re left to figure life out alone. My heart breaks for both.
Along the way, so many women poured into me. One person I’ll never forget is my first pastor’s wife, Mrs. Bridget Igbinosa. She probably doesn’t know this, but I loved every moment I spent with her. Even as a young girl, I’d sit close, tune my ears to her teaching and advice, and soak up the wisdom she shared with the other adults. That little season with her stayed with me.
Years ago I started praying a simple prayer for families and for women who carry so much weight in silence. I saw the stress, the self-doubt, the quiet burnout. Then I felt God say clearly: This is your assignment, help women win.
Even as a single woman, it felt odd at first. But God confirmed it through prayer, through my mum who’s my biggest cheerleader, and through my mentor. So I said yes.
Today I’m the convener of global women intercessory ministries, a community raising women who pray, know the Word, and carry God into their homes, workplaces, and callings. I’ve walked with so many women of God, and I love them deeply. I’ve watched families changes, faith grow cold turn warm again, and women step into assignments they thought were too big for them. God’s still doing it. By His (God) grace, I've mentored believers through the Prayer Foundation Class, helping them cultivate intimacy with God.
What I Believe
I love the Holy Spirit, my Counselor, my Comforter, my Friend. He’s the one who keeps me honest and steady. I believe Jesus died for me and for you. I believe there is one God, and He’s not distant. He’s near, and He’s turning lives around right now. We’re all sinners in need of grace, but through Jesus’ sacrifice we’re no longer under condemnation. We’re under grace. And grace is received through faith.
If you’ve never given your life to Him, you can today. It’s simple: believe that Jesus died for your sins, rose again, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Eternity is real, and I want you on the winning side with our Father.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…” – John 3:16
“If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart… you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
“The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
“Today is the day of salvation.” – 2 Corinthians 6:2
What I Do Now
I write, speak, and mentor with one goal, to help women become spiritually fit for the assignment God gave them. Whether you’re single, married, a mum, or still figuring it out, you’re not disqualified. God uses ordinary women for extraordinary things.
When I’m not writing or hosting Wisdom Wednesday, you’ll find me praying, reading, drinking way too much my new found drink ( Viju wheat milk drink) , and cheering on my siblings.
I’m praying that God meets you right here and reminds you: you’re seen, you’re called, and you’re not alone.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Are you facing a difficult season, celebrating a breakthrough, or carrying a heavy burden, you do not have to carry it alone.
Our dedicated prayer team and I review every request submitted here. We consider it an honor to stand in agreement with you and lift your needs up in prayer.
